My name is Sheila Gurba (Zieper) and I am the eldest daughter of Harry Zieper. I was googling his name and found your fabulous website.
Sadly - Dad passed away in Edmonton, Alberta, on April 10, 1993, a month shy of his 64th birthday.
At the age of 25, (born May 15, 1929) Dad would likely have been one of the oldest graduates of your class. He immigrated from Germany in November 1951. Determined to make a new life for himself, he enrolled in the Nelson High School to complete grade 12 in the English language. He had previously completed his high school education in Germany.
