 Family:

My husband I retired to San Juan Island in 1957.  We have no children, but enjoy nieces and nephews.

Present Activities:

After moving to San Juan Island I helped the animal shelter raise funds for a new building and enjoyed many hours caring for and finding homes for hundreds of cats, dogs, bunnies, etc.  The past 1 ½ years I have been on the Board of Directors of Wolf Hollow Wildlife Rehabilitation Center.  They care for over 800 birds, animals, seals, etc. a year.  Alex and I enjoy our community theatre, jazz festivals, traveling, and do some gardening, dinner parties, bird watching.

• The soccer on Saturdays
• Summer afternoons swimming at the Park
• The Drama Club, its performances, out of town trips
• School dances and our wonderful band
• Sylvia’s Girls’ hockey team
• After school once a week having my piano lesson with Mrs. Ferguson
• Our wonderful teachers
• Improving my mathematical skills in grades 9 and 10
