Family:

Married to Iris for 45 years.  Have one daughter, age 42 and one son, age 40.  Three grandkids, one grand son is 23, married, and is going in for a Salvation Army minister at Winnipeg.  The younger grandson is 21 and is studying at the college in Kelowna – finance and marketing.  They are my daughter’s kids.  My son married late in life at 36.  He has a daughter that is 14 months old.  She is great, sure filled a hole in our lives.

Woodworking, electronics, fishing, travel, gardening.

Work Before Retirement:

After high school went to SAIT in Calgary, serviced TVs in the ‘50s; worked for cable TV company in the early ‘60s.  I was Chief Engineer for CJAT for 13 years (late ‘60s and ‘70’s (FM sold to CBC in the’70s).  Then finished off with BC TV – worked for BC TV as a Systems Engineer for over 20 years.  Retired three years ago.

Memories:

Riding the school bus from Proctor to Nelson and back (on the bus eating any leftover food the girls had from their lunches).
