After graduation:

I had 3 very difficult choices:

Play Major Jr. A hockey in the Detroit Red Wing chain.

I chose Hockey and was sent to Edmonton.

I retired from Stelco, the largest steel company in Canada, in 2000 after 43 1/2 years, starting in Edmonton and finishing in Hamilton. My career at Stelco had a little bit of everything from Industrial Engineering to Operations. I was something of a nomad as I moved around about every 3 years primarily in operations. The last 15 years were at the General Management level.

Memories:

  • Miss Jerome my grade one teacher.
  • Learning to swim at Lakeside Park
  • Yearly trips to Spokane, Wash.
