DOLPHIN _ Daniel Richard June 19th, 1937 - November 16th, 2006 While visiting Montreal, Dan suffered a stroke and soon passed away with his family by his side. He left many people who loved him. Born in Trail, BC Dan grew up in Nelson, BC and attended his last year of high school in Preston, Ontario. His education included Victoria College, UBC for his BSc in Electrical Engineering, a MBA at Berkeley in 1966 and a Masters of Science at UBC. His amazing experiences included working in a coal mine, surveying on the Banff-Jasper highway, an Electrical Engineer at Lenkurt Electric and BC Hydro, representing Fujitsu Canada and teaching at Capilano College and UBC. His company, Dolphin Enterprises, began as a leasing company 20 years ago and evolved into developing software for various companies including the financial and mortgage industry. During this time, he also enjoyed being the VP of Technology with Citizens Trust. For the past couple of years he had the great joy of working along side his daughter and together they expanded the business to supply mortgage investment software to the greater financial community. He leaves behind many people he touched with his kindness, humour, intelligence and generosity. He is survived by his wife Dorothy, and his two children, Shannon and Michael. Of great importance to him was to be liked by all. He will be remembered fondly and often. He will be missed.
